About Us
In 1992, a land line telephone call occurred between Macon, Georgia and Fayetteville, North Carolina. The participants of that call were a young, third year Internal Medicine resident completing her training and a seasoned, profoundly respected private practicing Internist. At the end of the conversation, they both knew they had the same goal, to practice “Good Medicine”. In July 1993, on nothing more than a handshake, Dr. Toni Meeks left her native Georgia for the sole purpose of practicing with Dr. Stephen Logue. The practice rapidly expanded during that first year causing their physical structure to demand expansion into a larger campus. The dream of Village Internal Medicine became a reality with the occupancy of the Quiet Cove location in 1995.
Dr. Viswanath joined the practice in 2006, bringing with him a clinical acumen that is greatly appreciated by all of his patients.
Dr. Logue’s retirement in 2020 brought the 2021 addition of Dr. Wikrom Chaiwatcharayut. He, along with his unfailing commitment to patient care, has allowed us to continue the legacy that was started so many years ago.
Our office houses a diverse group of staff and providers who are united around one common goal. That every day, with each encounter, we individually aim to use our skills and gifts to the best of our ability so that collectively we can provide “Good Medicine”.
